Happy
Halloween! Ha! Ha! Ha! The 2008 Rivercity Halloween party was
fantastic! Our guests included witches, wizards, Peter Pan, princesses,
Alice, Snow White, pirates, ghosts, fairies, Cleopatra, a clown,
a doctor, angels, cheerleaders, Aladdin, Darth Vader and of course,
pumpkins.
Some of the best costumes belonged to the parents; they really
had the Halloween spirit!
This year kids earned stamps by participating in face painting,
trick-or-treating, Halloween picture taking, and other great activities.
The beanbag pumpkin throw got lots of attention, great throwing
skills!
The kids were brave during the Haunted House trick or treat;
it was fun and not too scary. Lots of kids made new friends from
outside of their normal classes at the party.
Congratulations to names here, the winners of the pumpkin weight
guessing competition. The first pumpkin weighed weight here and
the second weighed weight here.
We practiced English in a special circle time and sang "Those
Bones".
After that, we sang and danced a special dance that we have been
practicing this month to the Adam's Family song. Everyone did
a great job and it was really fun.
We ended the day with a Halloween parade down to the river, gathering
interested looks from people in the neighborhood along the way.
We took lots of group pictures by the river with all the students
and teachers in full costume.
