When teaching this class, the teachers are trying to prepare the students for Kinderschool. During this two-hour class, we will be doing a lot of repetition, repeating, creative-thinking, and games. We teach students the
basic reading skills from letters of the alphabet to CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words such as cat, cap and dog etc. .There are many students who take this class after their usual Japanese kindergarten classes. We incorporate America’s “Creative Curriculum“ to our classes for our students benefit. This curriculum incorporates big ideas, various and engaging activities, and a sense of continuity as a way to stimulate students and even their families.

In this class we do a lot of role-play activities using new English expressions/phrases that we learn every month. As teachers we want to be a positive role-model for the students so that they will be more interested in English and will want to participate more. We set realistic goals depending on our student’s abilities as well as try to get them to strive and challenge themselves. There are countless types of activities that we can do in the classroom to help the students have fun while learning.
